How the job comes together

Base construction
A stable, compatible base is installed or verified. Resin is only as dependable as the construction underneath it.
Edges and details
Edging, covers and drainage details are completed before the final surface is applied.
Mixing and laying
Resin and aggregate are accurately mixed, spread evenly and hand-trowelled to a smooth, consistent depth and finish.

Existing base
A cracked, moving or unsuitable base should not simply be covered. We identify the right preparation before recommending resin.
Weather conditions
Resin laying needs suitable dry conditions and careful timing to achieve a consistent finish and proper cure.
Permeability
A resin-bound surface can be permeable when the entire build-up beneath it is designed to let water pass through.

Questions we’re regularly asked.
What is the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?+
Resin bound aggregate is mixed with resin before laying, producing a smooth, generally permeable surface. Resin bonded stone is scattered onto resin and has a rougher texture.
Can resin be laid over concrete or tarmac?+
It may be possible where the existing base is stable, clean, correctly detailed and free from movement. We inspect it before confirming the correct approach.
How do I maintain a resin driveway?+
Regular sweeping and occasional pressure washing at a suitable setting normally keeps it looking good. Organic growth and spills should be dealt with promptly.
