Privacy notice

DriveBuilt is a trading name of Digby Developments Sussex Ltd, company number 16842555. Registered office: Aviation House, The Street, Poynings, Brighton, BN45 7AQ. Contact info@drivebuilt.com or call 07757 167066 about this notice or your information.

Enquiries and price guides

When you contact us, we collect the contact details, site location, project information and choices you provide. We use them to respond, prepare an estimate, arrange a visit and carry out work you request. Taking steps towards a contract, and performing that contract, are our bases for this use. Keeping reliable enquiry and project records, handling complaints and securing the website are our legitimate interests. Accounting and other records may also be needed to meet legal obligations.

Required form fields help us respond to you. You can choose not to use the forms and contact us directly instead. Calculator outputs are provisional price guides based on your inputs and our estimating rules. They are not binding quotations, construction designs or decisions about your eligibility for a service.

Who receives an enquiry

Enquiries are stored on the website and email notifications go to info@drivebuilt.com and Michael@digbydevelopments.com so our team can respond. Authorised team members and service providers supporting the site can process the information for those purposes. A supplier shortlist shown by a calculator does not send your details to those suppliers. If you ask us to arrange work or obtain a quotation, we may share the necessary project and delivery details with relevant suppliers and contractors.

Customer reviews and project photographs

Submitting a review gives permission for us to publish the name, town, work description, rating and comments entered, after checking the submission. Your review email is not shown publicly. Please leave out other people’s personal details. Contact us if you want to withdraw permission for your review to be displayed. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier use.

We use project photographs and testimonials to show our work. If an image or testimonial identifies you and you have concerns about its use, please contact us so we can review it.

Staff and editor accounts

Private tools use individual account sign-in through the current hosting platform. We receive your verified email and, when available, profile name. We use these to check permissions. Successful staff access, saved projects and website editing actions are recorded against the account for access control, accountability and reliable business records. These are our legitimate interests. Staff project uploads are available only through authorised tools; images an editor publishes to the public website are public.

Website activity and browser storage

Our activity counter records daily totals for pages and calculator steps, a broad source such as Google or Facebook, and selected campaign names. It does not store form values, contact details or persistent visitor identifiers in those activity records. Hosting providers may separately process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

The staff workspace uses session storage for its temporary access token. Sign-in may use necessary cookies managed by the hosting platform. The review form saves an unfinished draft in local storage on your device, then removes it after a successful submission. You can remove that draft by clearing this site’s browser data. The site does not currently include advertising pixels or third-party advertising cookies in its application code. External sites you follow have their own privacy and storage practices.

Providers and international processing

The current service uses OpenAI Sites for hosting and account sign-in, Cloudflare technology for website storage and delivery, and Postmark for email notifications. These services may process information outside the UK. Contact us for details of the providers, processing locations and contractual transfer arrangements relevant to your information.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on whether an enquiry becomes a job, any ongoing correspondence, contractual and accounting requirements, warranty or complaint needs, and whether information is still needed to resolve a dispute. Account and activity records are assessed against security and business record needs. Public reviews and project material may remain while relevant, subject to requests for removal and any other justified need to retain a private record. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, a portable copy of your personal information. These rights depend on the circumstances. You can withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email info@drivebuilt.com to raise an objection or exercise another right. We may need to check your identity before providing or changing records. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.
